A Day in the Life

Well, I’m actually a little late in putting this up (oops). I started interning with the Tampa Bay Chapter of JDRF a few weeks ago, just about a week after I moved back home from another challenging year at college. I have the pleasure of working with some of the best people I’ve met so far – Nick, Christine, Carole, and Carolyn. Each person is quirky in their own way, so we fit in perfectly together. I’ve gotten to do a myriad of different things so far, including writing the June edition of the JDRF E-News, inputting donated auction items into our database for the big Gala in  the fall, and calling several elementary schools in Pinellas County to see if they would be interested in partnering with JDRF in hosting a Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes! How cool! Right now I’m working on doing some research and asking for donations for auction in the Gala from restaurants and other nice establishments around town. Hopefully we will hear something back soon! In the mean time, I’m finding a bunch of new restaurants to try in the near future! Woop woop!
